Meet Our Pastor
He was born on May 14, 1970, in Alabaster, AL to Donald Ray Bivins Sr. and Joann Ferguson Bivins. Pastor Bivins attended school in Shelby County and graduated from Thompson High School in 1989. Pastor Bivins received his calling to ministry in 1991 and afterward was joined in matrimony to Janet Gaiters Bivins on June 26, 1993. In August of 1997, he completed his college studies at the Alabama College of Barbers Instruction to earn his degree as a barber. Pastor Bivins is the proud owner of Bivins Barbershop located in the city of Alabaster, AL. His role as pastor of Bethesda Apostolic Worship Center began in 2000 in the city of Montevallo, AL. In 2009, He became a proud graduate of Aenon Bible College where he received his pastoral ordination.

Janet Gaiters Bivins
Is the beautiful wife of Pastor Gerry J. Bivins. He refers to her as the “Only Lady.” Janet was born on November 7, 1965, in Alabaster, Alabama, and still resides in the city. Janet graduated from Alabama State University with a BS degree in OAD. Janet is a Servant at heart, she loves to work in the ministry serving others.
There’s no job too big or small, whatever needs to be done, you can count her in. Her desire is to see souls surrender to Christ, repent of their sins, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. “You can Come to Christ as you are, but you cannot stay as you were.”
